The first interesting thing about palangka raya is the history. The word Palangkaraya has two syllables, namely "Palangka" and "Raya". Palangka is a place that is believed to be a drawing of an eagle used by the God Almighty to created the first man to the Raya (earth). The city has a shield that has a lot of meaning and philosophy.
